Dr. Gillian Sprowls was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and grew up in Hamburg.  She graduated from Frontier High School, went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Allegheny College in 2013 and then completed an additional degree in veterinary technology from Medaille College. She began her career as a veterinary technician in 2014 and has worked in a wide variety of settings in the veterinary field ranging from small country clinics to pharmaceutical sales. In 2019, she began her journey towards becoming a veterinarian and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 after completing her clinical year at Cornell University. She has a wide variety of clinical interests including clinical nutrition and weight loss, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, clinical pathology and cytology, and anesthesia and pain management. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her little family of 3 dogs (Finn the Labrador Retriever, Guppy the pug and Coho the Siberian Husky), cat (Nemo the domestic shorthair) and her husband. She also enjoys being outside, digital art, riding her motorcycle and traveling to Alaska.
