Serena graduated from Holland high school in 2020, where she also attended Small and Large Animal Science at Erie 2 Boces. She then went onto College at Alfred State where she graduated for Veterinary Technology in 2023. 

Outside of work she likes to hike, kayak, and go on fun adventures with friends. She is the youngest of 5 siblings. She has a cat (Leo) and a shih tzu (Bow). Growing up with a black lab (Dixie), a rex rabbit (Vinny), and two rottweilers (Bane and Gemma), she fell in love with the human-animal bond. She also did 4-H where she was part of the Sardinia Saddlers with her horse (Purely Prescription). It was through her experiences growing up with animals that she found her passion by helping them through Veterinary Medicine.
